ESPN wrote:Banking on Bonds Mike Mahan, a 28-year-old investment banker from West Los Angeles, has put down about $25,000 through the Dodgers' group-sales department to secure all 3,000 seats in right-field pavilion at Dodger Stadium for two of the last three games of the regular season against the Giants, the Los Angeles Daily News reported. Either of those games could be the one when Barry Bonds slugs his 700th, 714th or 715th career home run -- each a milestone number in his quest to become the game's all-time leader. "Obviously there are no guarantees, but I have crunched the numbers," said Mahan, a lifelong Dodgers. "I look at this as buying a lottery ticket and having some fun."
I guess if he crunched the Numbers, but its still $25,000

Is he gonna cover all that territory himself If he invites a bunch of friends or something to try and cover all that ground, they might keep the ball for themselves. And some kids will probably sit in his seats because they're all empty, and hey, it's Barry Bonds. Can't wait to see the highlights of thsoe games on TV though
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
I would love for him to get all 3,000 seats...then Bonds homer to left center...just the look to see him setting in left field all by himself...and the ball land about 5 rows over from him....

England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.

I heard about this on either PTI or Around the Horn. He is inviting friends, but making them sign leagally binding contracts that if they catch the ball they have to give it to him.
