i'm going to go ahead and suggest that zito isn't likely to improve a whole lot through the course of this season, unless he's traded to the mets, where he can resume suckling at the teat of his old pitching coach.
i think renteria is going to have a monster half. remember that the first half of the season was curtailed by his now repaired stiff back. his average is still high, but the sbs and hrs aren't nearly as impressive as they will be at season's end.
i just bought him low. so my money is where my mouth is.
Craig Wilson was a big sell high candidate. And by cooling off I don't know that he's a buy low now. He was overachieving when he was on his hot streak and now that he's cooled off, it's more likely that he's showing his true self. In my mind, he's not a buy low candidate as somebody like Delgado would be. Delgado has held star status for a long time and has just been underacheiving while Wilson broke out in a sort of flukish way.
I'm not sure what your talking about by saying I'm bashing.
Delgado, Giambi, Nomar, Marcus Giles, Bret Boone, Maggs Ordonez, Eric Chavez, Renteria, Posada, there's tons more, but it would take a lot of effort to hit everyone.
