Top Ten Prospects Right Now?

Postby Spiegs1106 » Thu Jul 01, 2004 10:40 am

In my keeper League right now and the comish made it so we have 2 more roster spots. To make it fair we are doing a draft in the middle of the season for people on FA as well as Prospects?

Who would be the top ten Prospects worth looking at?

Upton was taken first overall

Yeah I would say Upton is number one no matter what...

It's so hard to rank them but here's the one's I would look at making some sort of impact this year

Morneau - 1B - MIN - probably closest to impact
McPherson - 3B - ANA - could make a case for #1
Wright - 3B - NYM - same as McPherson
Reed - OF - SEA
Weeks - 2B - MIL
Ryan Howard - 1B - PHI - 29 bombs
Casey Kotchmen - 1B - ANA
Jason Kubel - OF - MIN
Grady Seizemore - OF - CLE

Those are just a few - i would say Upton, McPherson, Wright, and Morneau are the only ones that should come up and be picked up ASAP!

Andy Marte has to be on the list somewhere. Along with Edwin Jackson.

1. Prince Fielder
2. David Wright
3. Andy Marte
4. Jeff Francouer
5. Cole Hamels
6. Jason Nix
7. Josh Barfield
8. Upton
9. McPherson
10. Morneau

Stay away from pitchers if you can. They're much harder to predict.

Like the list however have a hard time putting McPherson, Upton, and Morneau down so low.. Morneau is the closest to s sure thing out of anyone in the minors really right now... McPherson is killing the ball and will be batting in a sweet Angel lineup next year. I don't think theres anyway you can't have Upton in at least the top 5! Look at how crappy SS is right now...

Mil, however I would pass on him as he is a ways away... Overbay will have to be traded for Fielder to get a chip, chair, and a chance, unless he gets some RF in?
