This just justifies my point: always play your best guys.

Oh please, the guy has been batting .248 since the ASB and has been sub-par all year. I see justification in benching him. I'm fully aware of his recent hot streak (3 games or so) but you have to bench a guy (even a star) when they're aren't producing, especially if you have a guy doing better than him. Giles hasn't put up a long stretch of big numbers so it's very understandable for him to be benched prior to this week. I got lucky with him in the lineup since I've been plagued with some OF injuries.

Didn't we already have a long thread on Giles and how he hasn't been that bad this season? His cold streak prior to this hot streak had at least a Cafe movement against him. You can't fault someone for calling a guy who has had a rock solid career a must start just because the player has gone from cold to hot. Your comments are far further out of place.

I definitely agree with the post above, STOP HATING ON GILES !!!

If he sucks SO bad, then why are his numbers still on pace to hit almost 30/.280/100 RBI with almost 100 walks? his K to BB ratio is insane too.

man this dude has been putting up awesome numbers for his entire career yet he has a bad portion of a season and you guys are so quick to jump on his ass?

give the dude a break and show some respect man!!! hes PROVEN!!

My 12 team league is set up with 10 hitting cats ( BBs, SOs, singles, doubles, triples, hrs, rbis, r, sbs, avg).

Even when Giles is in a prolonged slump.. he's helping my team with other little things. He's help me win so many cats it's not even funny.

He's one of the reasons I've clinched one of 2 byes in the first round of the playoffs.

In a league with doubles and triples, Giles is money @ Petco. It's awesome!
