Is this guy for real or what? I really need a OF and I figure I can get him a lot cheaper than guys like Cabrera, Edmonds, etc. Is he worth ANYTHING? Is he any good?
of course he's good. One of the most productive hitters in the game. Problem is he's overdue for a string of injuries and is not worth trading for at this point, very riskie
We knew when healthy, he'd be good. Its just the health problems. However, that seems to be fixed, and hes been a hitting machine. 3 runs, 2 HRs, and 5 RBIs tonight. Hes a great guy to trade for because you can always get him for less than hes worth because people always think of the injury past. He certainly hurt less than Edmonds this year. Cabrera, because hes been hitting really well, would cost you an arm and a leg to get.
It's like Griffey. You keep waiting for that injury that will sideline him forever. Maybe they will both stay healthy all year but I wouldn't put my money on it.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
Drew is causing me all sorts of fits. I was offered Pedro for Mussina & Drew tonight. I want to sell Drew high, but he just keeps producing.
I think this is the right thing to do. People agree? I could use the SP help and presume Pedro is enough of an upgrade over Mussina to justify the move (oh, and I'd probably use the empty roster spot to take Delgado off the DL this weekend).
Thanks.

I got Drew off of the waiver wire and it has been my best pickup all year next to Peavy, I straight up love the numbers he is putting up, just hoping he doesn't get hurt, Drew, Griffey, and Larry walker all earned the title of"mr glass" in my mind, bad mother F'ers when healthy though, love those numbers boyz, doesn't cost ya hardly anything to trade for either.
