but I am not sure I'll ever be able to listen to "we are the chapions" after I saw two consecutive ads using that music... one fore some game show network crap and the other for viagra... speaking of which, when was the last time someone you know ran into the streat to do a dance b/c they were able to get it up?

LOL this reminds me of when I was watching this commercial for the first time. I was with my cousin (huge RedSox fan) and as "We are the Champions" started playing and the guy ran out of his house he said "Look there's the RedSox this October." Then the Viagra logo appeared on the screen and I replied, "Yep, that's the Red Sox alright."

What about that horrible song that is on the Top 40's radio stations that "samples" We Will Rock You? I was out and about the other day and happened to catch it. Forgive me for not knowing the actual title or artist for I've given up on listening to the radio long ago because of songs like that. Horrible, HORRIBLE song!

There should be a list of songs that all artists are prohibited from "sampling". I keep using the qutotation marks because I wouldn't call it that as much as I would call it "ripping off someone else's work and changing it enough to call it your own because you are an unoriginal clod that is nothing more than a money-making puppet for the unholy record execs".

Don't get me wrong I think there are some artist out here that do sample and get it right. But once Puff Daddy and his crew came along "sampling" took on an ugly persona with his "Take a melody from one pop song, add a chorus from another pop song, and toss some crappy almost incoherent raps in between" formula and started making gold records. It was in tribute to Biggie you know. Except that Biggie had more talent packed into that last Big Mac he ate than Puffy has in his entire body.
