Berkman in RF...

Postby BeefSandwiches » Wed Jun 30, 2004 1:54 pm

Does anyone know where I can find a list of how many games Berkman has played in RF. He may not be there too much longer after Biggio's sweet play last night...

Berkman has played 4 games in RF. Here is a link you can find that info at, just look towards the bottom where it says Games By Position.

http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/teams/lineup?team=hou

Also, keep in mind that Biggio did not make an error all year long at CF, so I dont know if that error last night will cause any changes. If he can play CF good, he can play LF.

Edit: Todays game puts Berkman at 5. ;-D Forgot to include that one.

I just saw that play after reading this post. What?!? I could've caught that with my eyes closed.

Yea, it was pretty ugly. It reminded me of a few years ago (1998?) when Brant Brown was playing LF for the Cubs and he dropped a routine fly ball with 2 outs, and the bases loaded in the 9th. For those of you who dont remember, the Cubs were fighting for a wild card spot, and that win would have clinched it. Instead, they get lucky and the Mets lost to Montreal, and the Cubs make the playoffs, and Brant Brown is of course no longer playing in the MLB. Oh, the memories of being a White Sox fan! :-b

Wasn't that Biggio's first error of the year? Nobody is perfect. ;-)

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
