You've got the right idea, but that isn't it.

every World Series has someone make the last out. How about they grounded into a double play to end the series?
Babe, Bucky, Buckner and now Boone.

Soriano never did that. 2001 was a walkoff by Arizona so he never got last at-bats 2003 Posada was the last hitter and was tagged out by Beckett.

All but Lansford played in a World Series Game 7, so that can't be it.
I also thought it could be got a hit in the 7th game but Eisenreich, as well as Lansford didn't do it. Eisenreich got a Walk in his only AB.
I'm Still thinking

I believe there ought to be a constitutional amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. -Crash Davis

Hmmm. In the game that Eisenriech played, at least the one that concerns this question, he got two hits (don't forget '97 wasn't his only Series).
Are people getting tired of this - need a better hint? I don;t want to spoil the fun by either giving away too much too early or waiting too long....
You are on the right track, if that helps...

But it was his only Game 7
I'll get this sooner or later
My Guess of the day:
They each had Multiple Multi-Hit games in the World Series.

Don't give a hint that will make it very Obvious, thats never any fun. Just keep giving enough in the hints to keep interest. So far, so good.

No, multiple multi-hit games in the WS is incorrect, but you are getting closer.
