Yeah it definately could. Good place for Randy to get in on the pennant race, close to home, and the team would definately have interest in acquiring him. However if Gammons thinks that the Yankees are just gunna sit back and let Anaheim take Randy because they have no farm system, then he's an idiot. The Yankees will give Arizona money for Randy if they have to, to keep him away from a rival.

Way to be a professional
Hey, the guy does have a point. if RJ goes anywhere, it could be Anaheim. They've got a great young system and could be a good match for Arizona.
He has a very valid point.....but he also looked like a bush leaguer yelling into the camera.
I think we can both agree on that.
That's why I said, when he gets riled up about things he goes OFF, which seems totally out of character for him. Ever see him get into it with Harold Reynolds or even last year with Bobby V? Talk about intense.
I've got a question for Gammons: Since when have the Yankees needed great prospects to get a deal done? So many trades they make involve no good prospects and are salary dumps i.e. Brown for Weaver.
Gammons should just do his job, which is not to be partial to or against any team in baseball. He's a NATIONAL reporter, not a local talk radio host.
How abou that trade when the Yankees got Mondesi? NY radio hosts were ripping Toronto for weeks for trading for an unknown crap double A at best player. The Yankees do that all the time. I agree with blank.
