V Wells vs A Huff

Postby oddmanout7 » Tue Jun 29, 2004 5:10 pm

Who will have the better second half? I think the D-rays will slow down which will hurt Huff's #'s. V Wells wont be back for around 3 weeks, but when he comes back i think he'll put up some good #'s. This seems pretty close. What do you think?

You are correct. Vernon is fresh and will tear through the 2nd half furiously. :-)

I say it is pretty even. Even when Wells comes back, will Delgado even be around much longer? Will Wells even have a decent line up when he gets back? Honestly the Jays offense has looked bad and there is no one in their to protect Wells if Delgado leaves or get on base for Wells to drive in. As for the Rays, they might slow down some but their offense is pretty good and I think will continue to do well. It will be the Rays pitching that most likely will slow down.

I think Huff will be better also.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
