he wont steal more than 10 from now on.. even that might be a couple two high. the only reason was that ractically no one was on base whenever he got on (most of his steals came when during the two horrible Jeter months when he had something like a 250 obp) and the offense in general wasnt working like it was supposed to, so he got to run.
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

i think he goes 40-40 this year. he has been stealing more lately even with a hot jeter. also hes a smart guy, soriano was trying to do it and always ended up just short. i think he wants to impress and do what soriano never did.

He's already in the 40/40 club. It wouldn't suprise me if he did it again this year but I think he'll come up a bit short on the steals.

Preseason I would have laughed at the notion of Arod stealing 30 in NY, but now I'd say it's a very real possibility.

im thinking 35, as ridiculous as it seems.

and yes, that probably would be enough to make him the #1 pick....now if only jeter can go down for 15 games to get A-Rod that dual eligibility....[edit] (next year, that is) ;-)
