Equipment:
Non-Goalies
Stick- ~40'' for attackmen and midfielders/ 6' for defenders (only 3 on the field at a time)
Helmet, mouthpiece- very similar to a hockey helmet, but with a visor, to try to block the sun.
Gloves- similar to hockey, but designed for different range of motion
Elbow pads- like hockey, but less restrictive
Shoulder pads- like hockey, but usually very low profile
Rib pads (optional)
Cup (optional)- may be too difficult to run with one
Cleats- basically football cleats
No padding below the waist
Goalies
Stick- larger head than field players
Helmet, mouthpiece, throat guard- Helmet is the same as field players, but with a plastic throat guard like hockey goalies have.
Gloves- same as field players but usually more protective (not larger, but different type of padding)
Chest protector- pad that only covers the chest
Cup
No other padding- none on arms, legs
I've always felt that goalies are insane, because they invariably get hit all over their body with the ball and are willing to step in front of 100 mph shots.
