I bought it about a month ago but my XBOX is in my room and my computer wirelessly connects to a computer downstairs. Therefore I don't think I can hook it up to my computer.
Anyone know if I can or if I have to buy that wireless adapter (which costs $100--coughRIPOFFcough). The guy at the store told me I had to buy it but I wasn't going to spend $100 and take the chance that he was screwing with me.
The adapter costs more than the XBOX Live itself. What a joke.
I can't wait to get it going but I don't have the wires to connect everything to and not sure if I need the adapter.

Wait, are both the Xbox and one of your computers in your room? If so, you may be able to simply run an ethernet cord from the computer to your Xbox. If that wouldn't work, you could probably get a wireless bridge and then run the cable from the bridge (looks kind of like a router, but its not a router) to the Xbox. One of these will run you less than $100.
