Gammons is on WFAN right now and mentioned Tony Armas Jr. and Zach Day as possibilities. He said Seattle doesn't want to trade Moyer.

I forgot about Armas, I'd heard about him before. However, he hasn't really been doing much this year. However, I don't really know the Yanks level of interest. Zack Day is a new rumor I hadn't heard yet

That and he makes loads of money- just what Arizona doesn't want. The same goes for Contreras at $8 mill a year.

My money is on Moyer, but obviously I'd much prefer RJ ;-) I'd also prefer to get no one if thats the only alternative to Russ Ortiz :-P

Don't rule out Odalis Perez, a lefty.

He is a free agent at the end of the year and DePodesta has said that if the Dodgers don't click soon, they may be in the sellers mode.

That would be an interesting acquistion.

The Mariners GM was just on MLB.com minutes ago and said emphatically that Ichiro and Moyer are the only M's that are untouchable from a trade standpoint.

The M's were shopping Gil Meche to the Tigers for Brandon Inge but the Tigers weren't interested. And a couple days agter Inge broke his finger.

It'd be a shame if the Dbacks don't trade Johnson. He should be on a major league caliber team, not a back to the minors one.

The chances of RJ going to the Yankees are thinner than thin. Not only does Johnson dislike NY, but Colangelo also can't stand Steinbrenner. (Does the David Wells handshake/screwjob ring a bell?).

They'll get someone, but it won't be Johnson.

i think the yankees are going to have a hard time getting pitching this year. Maybe someone out of Pittsburgh or possibly Zito... although zito will be costly.
Let's play two!
