That does not include Lowells injuries. If he didnt have a broken arm and ball cancer ( none of which were his fault) I am sure he would be almost the same second half player as the first! It would take a great offer to pry him out of my cold dead hands!

I was able to deal Lowell for Chipper and Chavez, two buy low guys. Chipper will have 3b eligibility within 4 games to go along with his outfield, and Chavez is hitting off a tee. It was a question of long term vs. short term. Ether one of those guys with a throw in on their side is a good candidate to buy low

I traded Lowell and Colon for Bonds a few weeks back. Then traded Bonds for Penny and G.Anderson two days ago. Of course, I got rid of Lowell before his slump...don't think you could get a bag of dog sh*t for him now...

I own Berkman and have been wondering about these splits but also about alot of talk that this is his year to do it for 162 games. He seems really keyed in and now that he hits after Beltran and in front of Kent it is hard for me to imagine much of a drop in numbers except for perhaps HR.
My first instinct is to ride this unless I get a really sweet offer.

Buy-low pitcher: RWolf.
Two years ago I was enjoying a decent but unremarkable season from him when he went off with back-to-back complete-game shutouts, then followed with another CG with 1 ER.
Because of his recent DL stint and only two wins, he may be coaxed from another owner cheaply, and should have a fresh arm down the stretch. I probably don't have to mention run support.

Lowell blows in the second half... JD Drew will have a better 2nd half than Lowell IMHO.. they're sitting on bout the same numbers right now.

I wouldn't sell high on Ortiz, I think he'll keep it up, in fact if last year is an indicator, he is a 2nd half player... last year he hit 27 home runs in the final 81 games of the season, which tied A-Rod for the major league lead over that span.
