The Denver Post reports that the Yankees may be interested in acquiring Preston Wilson from the Rockies. Wilson, who has one year left on his contract, needs to prove his left knee is healthy before talks get serious.
This can't be serious...I guess he'd take over for Bernie in center, and let Bernie DH.
That seems kind of far fetched. I doubt the Yankees will deal for Preston Wilson. IMO Wilson is only benefiting from Coors. Yeah, he had a good year or two with the Marlins, but nothing compared to his Coors numbers....

maybe they'd play him at second while they're at it.
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

I agree, I think the Yanks are smarter than that.
who says the Yankees are smart ???
anyways, this deal still wont happen.. i see the Yankees as barely having enough prospects to get a decent 5th starter and maybe a 2B like Spivey if they wanna completely and finally deplete their farm system..
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.
