i think he is refering to Lidge taking over the closing job... lidge struggling doesnt make sense

First off, Guardado's contract has a player option for next year and he's told the media he's not going to take that option because he hates Seattle. So, he's definitely going to be traded, unless the M's like their players walking for nothing. I dont' know about other teams, but Boston is definitely trying to acquire him, and he would be a set-up man in their bullpen.
