he won't be worth hanging onto.
But he is proving to be a very adequate replacement
in the interim

He was doing well in AAA....... .331 BA with 35 extra base hits in 257 AB's. Combined with hsi MLB stats that's 39 - more than Scott Rolen has. That's pretty damn good, even if most of the stats are frm AAA. If not for the fact that he won't get any playing time, he'd probably be a good pickup for the rest of the year. Unfortunately, he's an infielder on a team that already has too many infielders.

OK I have also been following this guy and now that Gibbons is down for 4 to 6 it is sounding like he may stick for a while.

Isn't he like 31 or something? A lucky streak nothing more. Don't waste your time with him.

I'm gonna try him out. Most likely temporary streak, but he's 2B/3B eligible with Sportsline. With Gibbons out 4-6, should see a lot of time.

I don't see what would make anyone expect anything from this guy--he will fall back down to earth anyday now, probably tomorrow. If you want a crappy Oriole to fill in for Gibbons (crappy in his own right), Matos is probably a better bet.
