How on earth can the votes say that Jeter and Nomar deserve the starting spot in the all star game over Young?
It's not who has the most rings or who is the best in the past, but voters should reward the BEST PLAYERS IN THE CURRENT YEAR.
That's not even the biggest problem. Nomar has barely even begun his season, and for a quarter of the season Jeter was below .200.
Ridiculous. I hope people who attend the cafe vote for the most deserving player and not just the fan favorties.

Exactly.
There's been enough

If you care to see how the Cafe voted, check out the Cafe All-Star Starters thread.

This year doesn't mean much at all to casual fans, who make up most of the voters. They'll vote the big names in even if they havn't played for most of the season (ie: Nomar). I don't think this should surprise anybody................or even draw any complaints, because it's going to be like that forever.
BTW, is that Cafe All Stars thing done yet? I'd like to see who we all voted in.

At first when I saw guys like Jeter high and VMart low I was kinda angry. However the All-Star game is for the fans and I can honestly say I don't want to watch Jack Wilson as a starter, though he may deserve it. I think they deserve a roster spot but I can see why guys like Young and Wilson and VMart don't get votes. They aren't exciting, known players like Jeter, Nomar and others and thus people don't want to see them.

I'd rather watch Jeter and Nomar over Everett and Wilson any day.
