he's been smokin the ball lately, scoring runs, and, naturally, stealing bases. but will any of that but the latter continue? i'm willing to bet the d-rays go .500 the rest of the way. is that enough for crawford to be a top-15 fantasy OF?

yea i think he can be a top 15 OF- and plus even if the D Rays go 500 the rest of the way, they will still get 82 wins- and that is a huge upgrade form last year- ok back to Crawford- the guy is insnely fast, he can hit and will hit for average, a plus in my book
Crawford's really been more patient this year. If he stays patient all year, I see no reason in the world he can't end up with 120 runs, 70 SB's, around 10 homers and finish over .300 for the season.
For Roto? A hundred times more valuable; he will almost single handedly win you the stolen base category. He is so underrated this year, of course next year will be another story...

In roto terms that is Top 5 OF'er stuff and yeah it looks as though he is capable of doing that.

Just offered Burroughs and Looper for him - what do you think?
The guy also has Manny in LF, his active 3B is Robin Ventura (Chavez is on the DL) and his one closer is Benitez. I have Hillenbrand at 3B and Smoltz & Takatsu as closers, so I can give up Looper.

I don't think you'll get Crawford with Burroughs and Looper.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
