What do y'all think Ponson will do for the rest of the season. He is sitting as a FA in my VERY deep league, if he can post 3.6ERA 1.25WHIP the rest of the way I'd snag him, but I have not seen him pitch and have no feel of what to expect from him. his numbers thus far look awful.
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

I have seen him pitch against the White Sox, and I would say he has looked pretty awful. He has the tendency to place pitches in bad spots and he gets spanked pretty bad for it. I dont know, I would not have confidence in him to get the job done.

I saw the title and thought this was a Kevin Mench thread lol.

i do believe that sidney ponson has been knighted in his native aruba, and I do believe that "shrek" is his nickname.

I thought the same thing.
Ponson was officially knighted, but I've never heard of a ballplayer referred to as "Shrek" other than Mench.
Anyway, as to Ponson, I've never been impressed, but if you have a bench spot, it might be worth getting him and just spot starting him when the matchup is good.

Yeah don't give this clown a 2nd thought. If I owned him I would've dumped him several weeks ago. He's horrible.
