He had a rough stretch for about a month until about a week and a half ago, but wouldn't you know it? He's on fire again (2HRs again today and 5 RBI). I think there are some people out there who wish they would have accepted some of the offers I proposed, maybe even some who visit this very forum... :-?

I dropped him a few weeks ago. I really wish I had held onto him but I assumed it was just another normal year for him.

last time i checked, he was still playing with a bone spur in his ankle. there were reports that he would have to take shots regularly. that was the reason that made me wanna "sell high".. not cos i thought that he wasnt good enough. after all i was the guy who said in the preseason and promptly got flamed for saying so that he "might have just as good as a year" as gulp.. Ensberg. !+)

however, looks like Beltre's gonna play through the season cos its his FA year and then have surgery in the postseason.
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.
