Griffey Jr. is 0 for his last 24! If Griffey weren't such a threat to hit a HR on any given day, I would have benched his ass days ago. Come on Junior, you got your 500th, why ya pressing again? Aboslutely killing my team batting average!

Wasn't he killing it all season? Hes been batting like .250 the whole year. The homers and RBIs are there, but hes putting up an Adam Dunn like average.

one word describes Griffey right now... "pull-happy".

Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

He'll bounce back soon hopefully....I can't imagine the rush of emotions he must have had hitting his 500th on Father's Day with his dad in attendance. Like you said, it's just a "hangover" so to speak. He'll end up with a .270-.280 avg. His days of hitting .300 are definitely over.
My team BA has gone from .283 to .277 over the past 4 days...and in large part due to Griffey and Burrell.
