He's a good hitter definately, but the best now? No. Maybe for the first half of this year he's been hitting the best, but the Jones' duo have been better. Look form them to rebound (especially with Chipper back at 3B). And Marcus Giles isn't too bad and should be back in 2 weeks or so.

Drew's one of the best hitters of the game when healthy. Chipper's better, too. Those two are the best on the team by far.

A. Jones is a terrible overall hitter...swings at way too many bad pitches.

Chipper and Drew, when healthy are better hitters than Estrada. Though Estrada is really showing he can be one of the better hitting catchers in the game right now. He should be an all star, but Piazza is more popular so he won.

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Well Estradas got him beat in RBIs and avg, despite Piazza playing 11 more games. Less homers, but hes also got more doubles than Piazza. They are tied in runs. Since this is real baseball, lets bring up defense also. Estrada is the far better defensive catcher, which matters in baseball. Thats why I say he should be the starting NL catcher. People are just blinded by Piazzas popularity and his home runs.

Estrada has put up great numbers and had he been selected I would be dissapointed but I wouldn't bitch.

To say Piazza doesn't deserve is ridiculous.

Unless the NL manager is smoking crack he'll select Estrada as the #2.
