don't know why the put Dotel in for another inning (running his pitch count up to 39), but he got a nice gidp there to quell those ratios a little

Looks like Dotel (and Dotel owners) gets the win for his hard work.

And he gets the win

In the 8th inning, he came in with a 6-3 lead, the bases-loaded, and one out and got Tucker to pop up and struck out Grissom with God on deck. It was a great piece of pitching. Then he walked God to lead off the 9th, a hit, and Pierzynski sat on a fastball and jacked it. After the 4-run inning tied the game, he looked fine again in the 10th. I'm hoping it was just a hiccup. He looked good in a clutch situation in the 8th.
He had gone 4 days without pitching before tonight, so maybe he just needs to get back to regular work. He's not the type that should sit for 4 days.
Roger Angell: I was talking with Bob Gibson and I said: 'Are you always this competitive?' He said: 'Oh, I think so. I got a three-year old daughter, and I've played about 500 games of tic-tac-toe with her and she hasn't beat me yet.'

Did he walk Bonds intentionally in the 9th? Why would you with a four run lead?
