How much of your FAAB does Dotel get?

For those of us in AL-only leagues, how much do you bid for Dotel? I'm hurting bad for saves and was thinking of going way over the top for him.

I think he'll be a steady closer for Oakland, getting about 25 saves with an ERA around 3.00 and a WHIP around 1.25.

Id expect a 2.75 ERA and 1 WHIP with a good amount of saves form here on out.

In my league, each team is assigned $50 in FAAB. Earlier this year, I picked up barajas for $5(min bid). He has been a steal so far. Anyhow, I've actually worked out a deal where another owner is going to bid on him as he has the full $50, then he's going to deal me Dotel/Scutaro/Jordan on DL for Mike Young/Mike Maroth. So to answer your question, I would say the full boat...but good luck

In an NL league, how much would you bid for Beltran?

If I had #1 waiver priority in an NL-only league, would you use it on Beltran? Or would you wait until something betters hits the wire.

How many 1st round picks are going to hit the WW, even in NL and AL only leagues? Only so many studs will be traded and this goes without saying but don't hesitate to "waste" your pick on Beltran. :-)

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

I can't believe you're even asking that question. [note to self: never ask whitehot for advice] :-D

I am assuming he was joking unless he expects....um, another Billy Koch to be sent to the NL.
