England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.
This is why I dont like AL/NL leagues only. Blockbuster trades can either ruin a team, or whoever had 1st waiver priority to get the guy who was traded. Not very fun, IMO.
why dont we have an online rap battle between all you guys ? ... the winner gets Beltran. fair enough ?
Manny Ramirez....$20 million
Pedro Martinez....$17.5 million
Curt Schilling...$12 million (and a $2 million bonus)
Never hearing a Yankee fan chant 1918 again...priceless.

there are ways to counteract this, I believe.
One is to just have the waiver priority be the reverse draft order, although with only a couple of big trades a year this might not make a difference.
The other is to compensate owners that lose players to interleague trades by giving them the priority on the players that come back. i.e. the dude that loses dotel gets first dibs on beltran. This suffers from the obvious drawback of "what happens if a stud gets traded for a bunch of prospects in a non-keeper league?"
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.
