Pitchers you would want next year

Postby Kingsac » Thu Jun 24, 2004 3:40 pm

My dynasty team is looking like it needs a make-over and to ramp up for next year. My pitching is terrible. Pleaes rank the following young promising pitchers, if I left anyone off please feel free to add them:

Prior
Carlos Zambrano
Wood
Sabathia
Beckett
Buehrle
Penny
Oswalt

You've got a bit of a gap btwn. the top and bottom...

Prior
Oswalt
Wood
Beckett
Carlos Zambrano
Penny
Sabathia
Buehrle

Might want Beckett up a spot or two if you're talking about the future in general, not just next year.

I like these two guys for next year.

1.Jake Peavy-If he can stay off of the DL next season, I think he will post numbers for the Padres similar to this season's ERA 2.01 and WHIP 1.36 next season, while having double digit wins. He is 23yrs old.
2.Nate Robertson-I think he will emerge as the Tigers best pitcher this season, and if Detroit continues to build a contending team after this season, he could win 14-20 games next season, have about 200 K's, and the same 3.76ERA and 1.21WHIP as this year's. He is 26yrs old.
