welcome to the cafe. posts like this one should go in either the "rate my team" forum or the " traders, waivers, keepers" forum.
i imagine one of the mods will move it there shortly

anyway. I would definitly try to find room on your roster for huff, wilson and vidro. what does your bench look like? pitching?

pitching

Postby riznich » Thu Jun 24, 2004 4:19 am

my pitchers are

harden, colon, oswalt, w williams, martinez, contreras, garcia, nomo, burnett rivera, isringhausen

5 of my pitchers take up benched spots, and wood and peavy are on the DL....since our league has a really high max innings and no ERA counting i find it more useful to use all the bench spots for pitchers of course. im just not at ease with my 2nd base, shortstop and outfield positions right now...man i sure wish i didnt drop griffey at his first injury scare this season :P

so your saying youd take vidro over uribe and keep valentin as the SS? and you dont think preston wilson or abrey huff would be an improvement over giles or burrell?

they may be improvements, but
wilson may get traded away from coors and huff, well, at the beginning of the year I'd take him over burrell, but now i am not sure.

i would not drop any of your outfielders, that's for sure.

i might look to trade uribe along with one of your pitchers for an upgrade.

Grab Aubrey Huff quickly. He will have a stellar second half.

Preston Wilson wont get traded but is not worth picking up ahead of any of your current OF'ers

I would drop Harden. He will be good but not this year. So far in his career he is only putting up Brett Myers type numbers. Nomo is worth hanging onto. He pitched well in his last start and will only get better.

Vidro is also worth grabbing. He is starting to heat up nicely.

Uribe and Valentin could platoon at SS for you dependent on match ups.

would uribe or valentin be better at SS? im weary of uribe since he's never had a year with more than 10 homers, where as valentin consistently gets 25-30 a year. do you think i should drop any of my outfielders for huff? i dont like the whole petco park situation for giles... i'm in a total points league where ERA and batting average dont count so i like harden for the high k's per game and possible bonus wins cgs sos etc until wood or peavy comes back. ....which means i dont want to drop one of my pitchers unless its for another pitcher . im just trying to solidify and set my offense for the 2nd half of the season.
