I wonder if there have ever been any teams with no white players?
(by the way: I don't think that anyone is calling anyone a racist. It's just a weird statistical anomaly and it's interesting. Lighten up.)
Hey, I'll say what no one wants to say....there is one race that is evil and should be banned from baseball forever, as they're all criminal, junkie, rapist, ignorant slime, hear to steal our women....AND....they all look alike!
Keep the Martians out of baseball and keep baseball for pure blooded Earthlings only! Down with green skin and multiple noses!!

"Lighten up"? lol - I think that they did.
It is an interesting observation, so long as that is as far as it goes. Observations such as these inevitably lead to accusations.
Last year a major paper in Toronto published an article about Toronto being the whitest team in MLB. There was a huge stink over this.
I am surprised that this happens so often and I do not look forward to the stink that will be created when there is an MLB without any whites - it will happen eventually.
Glad to see this reached two pages and remained civil. I wasn't looking forward to reading this thread.
As to the observation, that's part of where the racism problem lies. Racism is such a big deal, that people notice when there's an all white team (or close to it). If racism wasn't such a big issue, then no one would have even noticed that about the Astros. Personally, I'd like to see the whole racism issue go away, but sadly, I know that will never happen.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

i agree... i've never really thought of baseball players as being anything other than just that, baseball players.... that and ridiculously rich for just playing a game

naw this topic is kinda silly. It is an interesting observation but it is purely a coincidence. I am sure that no one in the Astro staff is managing them racisitally.
Now if for some reason Houston was spiratically refusing to sign minorities for no apperent logical reason, that might be a cause for concern.
