Name the two players described in the following ‘story’ and the team for which they both played (described below).

The two of us may have accomplished a truly unique feat. There was a team on which we both played, though when one of us started pitching for this team, it had a different name. I guess we weren’t very loyal either, because we both left this team at some point in our careers. While playing for this team: we accumulated the exact same number of wins, though one of us blew it and actually lost just one more game than the other; we had 38 shutouts each; and we allowed nearly the same number of hits (more than 2300 each). We also came within 50 innings of pitching the exact same number of innings for this team, despite pitching more than 2000 innings. Both of us were born in the same state. Both of us were on at least one team that won the World Series.

I thought it was amazing that they had the identical record, nearly the same number of innings and hits, and were about 100 years apart in time.
