I'm surprised we don't have more chatter about Euro 2004 on here.............I guess baseball fans tend not to be soccer fans. It's a boring sport when nothing is on the line, but when the pride of a nation is on the line, it's fun to watch
Who do you think will win it all?
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."

Ireland and Soccer is just a little bit better than baseball, the only soccer i don't like to watch is MLS (it is very stupid, they suck)

Menyak is a soccer buff. I second whoever he votes for.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
I hope England wins, since that's where most of my relatives came from (also a lot from Ireland, but like it was mentioned, they didn't qualify). And a German great-Grandpa, so they'd be my second favourite. But I voted for the Czech's. With Hasek as their keeper they'd be unstoppable

yeah well a few weeks ago they beat Holland in a friendly but they still didn't qualify
The Dutch are my favorites since I lived in the Netherlands for a while but except for one striker their team sucks. I picked the Francos, they play an exciting game.
Can any soccer fans answer a question for me?
Why is it whenever somebody misses a chance he has to fall to the ground and hold his head in agony as if the world is about to end? And not just the guy who missed but half of his team stops and strikes a dramatic pose while the play continues. If somebody did that in hockey his teammates would kick his ass at the next whistle. Get up and play you lazy Marys!
Im about a big a soccer fan as it gets. I still wake up early saturday mornings and listen to the Premier League on the internet. I like Swedens chances in Euro 2004 - they are a pretty underrated team. France hasent been the same since Euro 2000. Germany is another favorite to win. If I were a betting man, Id put my money on England though.
BTW - anyone seen the History of Soccer - the box set? Brilliant.
