The New Percival Thread

Hasn't been one recently about Troy so...

I know he'll get the job back when he returns, but will he have his early year troubles- or was that due to injury? Over his career he's been solid but I'm not so sure about now, so what do you think cafe?

Troy Percival (inflamed right elbow) will throw off a mound tomorrow or Thursday and hopes to return to action around July 1st.
He will need to throw in a few side sessions in the next week or so and then pitch a simulated game before going out on a brief rehab assignment. That's a lot to do in just 10 days. We doubt Percival will make it back to Anaheim by the first of July, however a return to action by July 5th is certainly possible.

If I were him I would volunteer to come back as a setup man for KRod....afterall, it's obvious who is the better pitcher, and Percival shouldn't have anything left to prove, so he should have no problem taking a backseat for a change.

However, I doubt he will do that, I'm sure he will try to be closer and then proceed sucking.
