He has always had knee problems, which def. affected his hitting so his .OBP will be down. He's a big question mark for me right now because I honestly couldn't tell you which way he'll go now that he's back which is why I passed on trying to trade for him.

not sure, but my thinking is this: he didn't have a first half of a season this year, so his first half numbers from last year should be closer to what he'll do this second half, considering this will be the first half that he actually plays in. Look, he's hogged the lone DL spot i'm allowed in my league pretty much since week 1, so i've gotta be positive about his return somehow.

Yeh you have to stay positive but don't be surprised if he hits the dl again because it's a deteriarating condition.

His second half stats from last year are a big reason why I did not draft him and do not want him this year. .239 after the break with that great first half last year? Thanks, but no thanks. I let him be someone else's problem this year.

Not only that, but his power numbers are way down against lefties. I have Ortiz and Blalock already. I don't need another guy who doesn't hit lefties. Not only that, but with his second half last year, I'm really only confident starting him at home. Do I really want a guy on my team that I only feel confident starting him 40% of the games? I chose "no" and decided not to drop V Wells for him.
