I don't get all this "wait until he starts against the yankees" crap. The yankees are a good team, they are expected to do well. Santana is not Randy Johnson or Curt Schilling, able to shut down a potent offense on a whim. Nor do I expect him to. But against most teams, Santana is a solid pitcher and pick to start.
Psst. Pedro was a fake all along. Look what the Giants did to him...

just being sarcastic, my friend. Can't judge a pitcher from one start, be it the yankees, the sox, or even the Giants. But in all honesty, what happened to Pedro?? Good thing I didn't draft him on any teams; never liked those low IP.
