Nerf baseball anyone?

Postby wkelly91 » Sun Jun 20, 2004 8:39 am

I was just thinking about the backyard nerf baseball games we used to have. We played with wood bats and a nerf ball. If you hit it right you could hit it pretty good. We played with the roof being the bleachers and like kickball you could get a guy out by hitting him with the ball or catching it. You could only throw fastballs and changeups but we had a ball. Also played wiffleball a lot.

Anyone have any good backyard memories? ;-D

There was a big empty field that we used for a ballpark. The grass would be knee high at some times which made the chances of losing balls very high. We mainly played alot of Home Run Derby with whiffle balls and bats wrapped in duct tape. Good times. ;-D

I dont know if anyone remembers the game 500 but I used to play it every day that there wasnt snow on the ground.

To refresh some memories

get a group of people to stand 150 200 feet away

one guy hits the ball towards them

catch in the air 100 points

1 bounce 75

2 bounce 50

roller 25

First to 500 takes over as batter and repeat the process

Every time we played it was darn near tackle football trying to catch the fly balls for 100 points! Man I miss that kind of stuff!

Great topic wkelly! ;-D ;-D ;-D

We went crashing into the fence (home plate) more times than I can count. All my buddies and I were up for anything baseball at all. Wiffelball, wood bats and real balls, metal bats and real balls, home run derby, even just catch. Great memories. :-)

Running the bases was terrific. Eat your heart out, Ricky! :-D

Lots of great backyard memories. Street, park, and vacant lot memories, too...
