Why in hell is he covering the US Open? He sounds even more like an idiot out there than usual.

It's the US frickin' Open, ESPN can't get a real golf commentator?

I was a little surprised but he has done it for years and isn't doing too bad. He keeps doing the names, though. :-P

i think berman has tenure, so they can't fire him...

why is he doing the sunday showing of Sportscenter in the first place, he has been doing this for some time and he just isn't as good as the rest??

I think Chris Berman has far out lived his welcome. Sorta like Don Cherry. But ESPN keeps him around because he has sorta of a ESPN icon.

Berman and Fox's Van Earl Wright bug the hell out of me. Stuart Scott gets on my nerves sometimes too.
