starters that get benched

I'm tired of starting guys then finding out they are benched for the game. This has happened numerous times with Reggie Sanders and other players. I know players will often times be benched depending on whether they'd be facing a lefty or righty (Hee Sop Choi), but is there any way to find out for sure ahead of time?
