The only thing better than a Padres/Angels series would be a Barry/ Angels series IMO.

As to SF making it to the WS, the only way that's happening is if Schmidt throws a complete game shutout for every game in the playoffs and Barry hits a solo shot every game.

And as to a Barry/Angels series...we done had one. No sense in subjecting Barry to yet another WS loss. ;-)

Wanted it last year and still do: Cubs vs Red Sox in the World Series. I think the Cubs would win it in 6.

Yankees vs. Cubs or Cardinals

If the Cubs are in then the Yankees win. If St. Louis is in then either has a chance.

In this scenario Cubs would have a better chance IMO due to the pitching.

That's what my thinking would be. I honestly think the Yanks would crush the Cards pitching, thus not leaving much of a series.

You can talk to Dusty about that Game 6 loss. And that crackhead, Jose Cruz about Speizio's homer. So, good luck, Cubs fans, when its time for Dusty to make a decision.

But you are right, its up to Schmidt and Bonds if we go that far, which I doubt at the moment. But we will make the playoffs.
