Please help me with some info on the Pirates...

I own Ol. Perez, and I am worried that the Pirates are going to have their annual fire-sale come July.

Now I am not worried about Oliver being traded, however I am alittle scared they will deal of the little offense that they have (Kendall, Mackowiak, the Wilsons?)

I know that they have plans to try to move Benson and Mesa (it will hurt losing a closer that is doing well also, even if it is MESA), but does anyone have the scoop on who they might be moving from the offense?

Really the only fire sale moves I see them making offensively are the one they have already tried....of course Kendall will go on the block again...and I think they will try and move Bobby Hill...and Randall Simon again....and they will get some interest in Bay...but I don't see them dealing him...other than that, I think they will hang on to what they have on offense...

The real fire sale I see is in their pitching....

the Pirates are in an excellent Position. Both them and Milwaukee. Outside of Jason Kendall, whom they are trying desparatly to trade, they owe no long term money.

I would guess that Jason Bay, JJ Davis, Freddy Sanchez and Oliver Perez, are pretty much not going to go anywhere. But the rest of them, outside of their minor league pitching aces, could be had for next to nothing. Just as long as the player coming in doesn't have a contract for 2005!
