Great pitcher - but he has to have a 5 run lead to win a game. Hudson value must be a damn sight lower due to the A's pen (or lack thereof) :~(

Hudson is a 2 category pitcher, fantasy wise - ERA and WHIP. He is an extreme groundball pitcher so he doesnt K alot of guys, plus the A's (typically) dont score alot of runs + their bullpen is crap - therefore wins are harder to come by. Hudson is a true ace in real life, but as a fantasy pitcher i think he is way overvalued.

The other problem (esp. in Yahoo) is that he pitches 7+ innnings for no result.

Couldn't agree more...I drafted him last year as my "ace" and regretted it. I will always have a staff full of K/IP guys from now on....and yes there are a bunch of them out there.

It is odd cause his first two years he was a K stud,,,,,,down right STUD. The downside was he also walked a lot more than he does now so i guess it is the trade off.
