Arod should be having a huge month, but he's not

I've already posted saying I'm disappointed with Arod's RBIs. His lack of production was largely attributable to Jeter's and Bernie's incompetence.

However, I looked up the numbers for both of them (not including tonight's 1 hit a piece so far) for June.

Jeter's OBP is .524, Bernie's OBP is .463. Those are both great numbers. Yet Arod has just 7 RBIs in 13 games. That's an 87 RBI season. I know it's just 13 games, but this should be a stretch where Arod is knocking in a bunch. The weird thing is that he's batting .340 in June.

I thought this was interesting and thought I'd point it out.

He hit a homer tonight. Where were the people on base in front of him?

They both got on base in the first inning. Perhaps Arod's only getting his hits with no one on base. I don't know where to look up monthly splits avg with runners in scoring positing, but ARod is hitting .200 with RISP for the season. A number that low suggests that even after his horrible start he hasn't done a very good job. That's not what I expected when I took him.

Hopefully he picks it up and can still knock in 120.

After last night, he's hitting .196 with RISP, .097 w RISP w/ 2 outs, and is 0-5 with 1 RBI with bases loaded.

His career averages in those situations: .308, .256, and .300, respectively.

Hopefully he gets back up there.
