I hope so, but my guess would be no. He's not such a good 1b defensively.
I wouldn't count on it, anyway.

As someone who follows the A's closely, I would keep both Hatteberg & Durazo out of my lineup this week in the NL. They are going to split time, and as last night, they may split time in the game. Hatteberg came in on a double switch last nite and replaced Durazo. Rubby as we call him is a very bad defensive 1B and Hatteberg is much better so I would expect Hatteberg to get the majority of time at 1B.

I hear KMart sees a spike in glove sales this time of the year ... in different cities across the country, Durazo, Martinez and other full-time DHs buying their Rawlings Derek Jeter model gloves and a can of that glove oil trying to look like real baseball players. That would make a funny Sportscenter commercial. I wonder if they stick a ball in the pocket, bind it with twine and sleep with in under their matress the night before the game to break it in
