for whatever reason that I'm having a hard time trying to comprehend, Ozzie Guillen has said that when the Sox pitcher is right handed, Frank Thomas will play first and when the Sox pitcher is a lefty, Konerko will play first, something about defensive issues, so anyway, if Garland, Loaiza = Thomas, Schoeneweiss, Buerhle = Konerko, I know it seems far fetched but this is how its going to be, I'm a die hard Sox fan, just trying to help out
I have Thomas in one league and Konerko in another. While I'm not happy about the situation, it's the price you pay for owning players in their situations. Luckily, this isn't a problem to deal with every day, and I'm sure they'll be used as pinch hitters. It won't be a total loss...

There was some talk about Konerko getting the opportunity to play third in place of Crede to get his bat in the lineup. That didn't happen last night, maybe at some point they'll try it.

So do they plan on sitting Big Hurt?
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
like I said in the original post, Ozzie said Frank will play when the Sox are pitching a righty and Paulie will play when the Sox are throwing a lefty and Schoeneweiss is on the hill tonight, this statement was made before the series started so with Frank's decent game yesterday, I don't know what will happen, but if Ozzie sticks to his guns, which he has since he took the job, that should mean Paulie is in the lineup tonight, I have Frank and I'm benching him for tonight, Loaiza tosses tomorrow so Frank should be back in the lineup
