anybody else having no luck with pitching?

I have seen the same trend. Seems to me more wins(and losses) are going to releivers. Closer games?? More Blown Holds?? The ratios for the closers is pretty bad.
It would take some number crunching to see if this is right, but that's the way it SEEMS to me.

My starting pitching has been horrific as well:

Mulder - the one good SP
Oswalt - how did he lose again?
Webb-He sucks
Jerome Williams - Decent lately, but inconsistent
Greinke - my savior, but I got him right before his start vs Montreal

either way, my pitching is 3rd worst in the league (out of 12)

I will certainly agree that pitching has been very hard to call so far. I just 'punted' pitching as I needed 3B/SS help so I traded Sheets for Carlos Guillen and Russ Ortiz. I had been shopping Sheets for a while and got mostly garbage offers but I am going to try to sweat it out w/ C. Zambrano, Vazquez, L. Hernandez, K. Wells (assuming he doesn't have leprosy or some other horrible, non-baseball thing going on...) and Barry 'no decision' Zito. That should make me competitive as the teams that were attempting to win pitching categories w/ a volume approach have all backed off of that.

Over the course of this year, I've had 75 total starts. Only 26 wins! But, I do have the worst pitching staff in my league by far. In a 15 team 5x5 roto league I have a total of 13.5 points for pitching.

4.91 ERA
1.465 Whip

I'm thinking about a fire sale for next year keepers.

Last few days I've started Miller, Webb, Garland, Zambrano, Batista, Clement, Lilly, Penny and Oswalt. 9 pitchers in total, most who have had quality starts and not 1 WIN :-t

This game is unbelievable 8-o

5 pitchers used today on my teams and they all look likely to win ;-D

CC, Doug Davis, Pavano, Zambrano and Odalis Perez
