Anyone interested in buying a collection?

I collected baseball cards religiously when I was younger, I have a pretty big collection of cards ranging from the late 80's-late 90's. I have a lot of inserts and rookies. The cards just reallly take up my closet space now, as I'm not to interested in collecting anymore. So is anyone interested in buying my collection? If you have a bunch of cards, you're gonna get the Beckett value for all of them??

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this comes across daily at where I work.

Late 80's to early 90's was the downfall of sports cards[with a few exception like 89 Upper Deck]

Think of it as this, if you have them, and you didn't really collect a lot, then everyone has them.

These cards are not worth the cardboard they are printed on. Your best bet, let them sit longer and longer in your closet, no harm no foul.

Unfortunately, with the evolution of eBay, I don't think you can get 50% of Beckett for many cards in that era. I think 25% of Beckett is a great sale (depending on the card of course) these days. Selling at card shows are a different story though.

If you get 25% then you got lucky and you should take it. I was talking to the owner of the largest card shop on the west coast, he said that he offers $1 for sets from the late 80's and early 90's. Those sets book for $10-15 dollars. Not excatly 25% of book.

I feel bad because my grandfather used to buy me boxes of cards at a clip and when I moved in 1983, I basically gave them away to a friend of mine instead of packing them up. I was young at the time but apparently also stupid.
