Ever notice how PlayStation2 and Xbox and gamecube are all hyped for their games...
Also, ever notice that PC games destroy the PS2 and others Graphically, Performance wise, and playability wise..
yet somehow they still sell!
Now I know that they are cheaper then a PC....but lots of people but a PC and a PS2!! Why??? For 200 bucks you can get an awesome graphics card and also the games are cheaper more vesatile, and have awesome online multiplayer functions!!
For some of the games though you have to have a cutting edge PC to surpass the graphics of a console, or spend quite a few $$ to upgrade, and when you're on a tight budget (paying for college ) trying to maintain a PC capable to handle some of the newer games gets a little expensive. I mainly play sports games though , so I can't really comment on the others I guess.

Yep, that's the exact problem. I have no doubts that game makers could create state-of-the-art games like we've never even seen before, the capability is definitely there. The problem is, there are probably only about less than 1% of computers that could actually run it. The cost/benefit factor just isn't there. I love computers, in fact I'll be in the IT career world at this time next year, but I will always have a console for games.

GO PC!!
Xbox has the best graphics out of all 3 systems (and is about even with the avg computer), also the systems have some games of for them. Mario for Gamecube, GTA for PS2 and Halo for xbox... sure some are on the computer but you have to remember that they were went for little kids (mario back in 86) but they have evolved...
