Dear Twins Management:

Freaking call up Morneau already. Even after a little slump in AAA he's still hitting over .300 with a bazillion homers. You called him up once already this year and he hit .292 with 2 homers in only 24 ABs. Are you worried he'll take playing time away from LeCroy? .278, 16 SO to 6 BB LeCroy? C'mon, did Billy Koch pay you $1000 to lose your division? Wake up and smell the coffee, it's Morneau. Image

i'm inclined to agree with Morneau being needed on the twins roster,
BUT, they need to get him consistent and constant playing time, so if he's not gonna be everyday starter - leave him in rochester for a few more weeks, or months,

I'd leave him in AAA for another year, let him demolish everything then call him up and turn him into the white Albert Pujols. What's the hurry anyways? He just turned 21!

I'm not totally familiar with the rules, but I think if he gets in 86 days this year on the Twin's roster then this year counts towards his arbitration eligibility. Keeping him down in AAA for most of this year ensures them control over him for another season. As long as they're winning the division there's really no need to sacrifice a year of his prime to have him play now.

I often get to see this guy play and ya gotta figure he'll be up after the allstar break... and when the Red Wings get some of their hurt players back... plus the AA team under them got hit up with injuies this season... so men are down everywhere in this 'org'
