Anyway, unless you've got a very solid rotation, it might be worth it to pick this guy up. He has completely shut down the White Sox and Cleveland lineups in his first two starts of the year. The aggressive approach would be to start him right away. If you want to be more conservative, you can pick him up and stick him on the bench for a while until he proves himself a bit more.
In any event, two solid outings in a row make him well worth the risk. The White Sox have a very solid lineup. Obviously, there's a fair chance he'll flame out, but can you say Derek Lowe, Paul Byrd, AJ Burnett or Jarrod Washburn . . .
"You can observe a lot just by watching."
I watched this kid pitch yesterday. He has some good stuff, but his arm strength started to go away in the sixth. He can be a good starter but be ready for him to wear down toward the end of the season. The royals will lose a lot of games. The other person I was impressed with was MacDougal.
Life is too short to be uptight, so take a second a smell the cut grass on the baseball field.
i think im gonna drop nunez, got me a 20.25 era today. i know its only one start but he is 10.13 era and no saves in the season with a 1.88 whip . graves teerivle to, im going to see if peavey is there and drop graves. thanks guys.
Hernandez should definitely compensate for the loss of Paul Byrd (SP-Atl). He's got some smoke! Look for him to get tired after the All-Star-Break. Make sure you drop him in time! BTW Bennyy22! Why are you so keen on getting rid of Graves? Watch for him to become the closer again if he sucks as a starter. Whoever posted that they wanted to drop Matt Anderson for him, don't do it! He might be traded to the Red Sox.
