so far. 4 HR's and hitting over .300

Could this be the surprise breakout player this year?

He is only 26 yrs old.

What do you guys think?

Too early to tell. All it amounts to is that he is having a good week. Will he be the surprise break out player? Naaa. I think the guy that hits the hell out of the ball next week will be the surprise breakout player. No seriously though. The MVP of my fantasy squad is always the 8-10 guys I pick up for a week at a time when they are on fire. I drop them as soon as they go 0-for a couple straight games. I did this with Jaque Jones last year and sapped like 10 homers out of his best 3 weeks of the season.

I have him in two NL-only leagues, and activated him on opening day in one because I drafted Jose Reyes of the NY Mets - 4 HR and 9 RBI as my last guy ain't bad t'all.

I'm playing him because I'm hurting at shortstop and he's done better than I could've hoped. But it is way too early to start using the word "breakout."

you can never tell this early in the year with only 5 games under his belt. we will see how he will do but there are a lot of players that are doing great so far, but will most likey not do well throughout the season.
